Growing A Greener Future: Pioneering Low
Carbon & Plastic Free Solutions!
At AllFresh, we believe that sustainability is not just a responsibility but a way of life. Our dedication to creating a positive impact on the environment is reflected in every step of our journey, from sourcing fresh, local produce to minimizing waste in our operations.

Our Environmental Mission
Food Waste and Plastic Reduction
At Allfresh, we are proud to share our unwavering commitment to sustainability through key achievements that reduce waste, minimise plastic use, and advance recycling initiatives.
Minimising Packaging - Working with growers and suppliers to reduce packaging and single-use plastics.

Plastic-Free Produce - Successfully avoiding the use of plastic for specific produce items such as mixed peppers, herbs, and cucumbers.

Waste Reduction and Redirection - Prioritizing the redirection of produce for consumption and donating leftover produce to local charities and farmers for pig feed.

Recycling Initiatives - Implementing a comprehensive recycling system for timber, cardboard, and plastic, as well as shredding office paper waste for recycling.

Energy Management
The core principles of energy management at Allfresh are -
Supporting Local Growers - Reducing food miles, supporting the local economy, and providing the freshest produce by sourcing locally.

Investing in Renewable Energy - Investing in solar energy options and exploring ways to generate your own electricity in the future.

Promoting Energy Conservation - Implementing energy-efficient practices. At Allfresh, we prioritize energy efficiency by using LED lights throughout our space, all equipped with motion sensors. This ensures that lights are only on when needed, reducing energy waste and supporting our commitment to sustainability.

Supporting Local Communities
At Allfresh, our everyday practices reflect a deep commitment to supporting local farmers, reducing our environmental impact, and giving back to the communities that sustain us.

Supporting the Local Community - We prioritise purchasing locally to support farmers and contribute to the strength and growth of the local economy.
Reducing Environmental Impact - By minimising travel time for fresh produce, we actively lower our environmental footprint.
Commitment to Local and Regional Sourcing - We proudly support Irish suppliers and source from Europe only when certain products are unavailable locally.
Giving Back to Our Community - Through support for clubs and charities in Cork and Kerry, we give back to those who continuously support us.

Carbon Reduction
Transition to Electric Vehicles: Converting the sales fleet to include electric vehicles.

Efficient Delivery Management: Carefully managing delivery routes to minimize mileage.

Emissions Reduction: Using AdBlue in all delivery vehicles to reduce emissions.

Continuous Improvement: Exploring and implementing further measures to contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet.

Water Conservation
At Allfresh, we are committed to sustainable water management across all aspects of our operations. Through the implementation of a rainwater harvesting system, we efficiently collect and repurpose rainwater for washing our delivery trucks, significantly reducing reliance on mains water. In addition, we continuously explore innovative methods to minimise water usage and adopt water-efficient practices throughout our facilities, reinforcing our dedication to environmental stewardship.
Promoting Ecosystem Support and Biodiversity Sustainability
Sustainability is not just about reducing waste and emissions. It’s also about enhancing the natural world. At Allfresh, we actively support biodiversity and ecosystem health by planting bee-friendly flowers and trees around our facilities to promote pollinator populations.
NATURES SANCTUARY
Welcome to Allfresh Insect Hotel!

At Allfresh, we believe in the power of every creature, big and small, to contribute to a healthier planet. Our Insect Hotel is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe, welcoming space for bees, butterflies, insects, and birds to rest, nest, and thrive. Located right on our gate, this eco-friendly habitat is crafted from natural materials such as pine cones, wood, straw, and more – all sustainably sourced to support local wildlife.

By creating this tiny sanctuary, we’re not just offering shelter, but also supporting the vital pollinators and insects that play a key role in the health of our ecosystem. Insects help with pollination, composting, and soil health, all of which are essential to maintaining biodiversity and food security. The hotel serves as a testament to our commitment to sustainability, ensuring that every element of nature is nurtured, even the smallest of guests.

BUZZING TOWARDS BIODIVERSITY
Beehives are a key component of sustainable agriculture and environmental health. By supporting healthy bee populations, beehives contribute to pollination, which is vital for the growth of many crops and the preservation of biodiversity. As bees pollinate flowers, they help increase food production and strengthen ecosystems, reducing the need for harmful pesticides. Additionally, the honey and beeswax harvested from beehives offer natural, renewable resources. Incorporating beehives into sustainable practices promotes ecological balance and enhances food security for the future.
